Trebling and thirding

Me and my maths group got given some maths questions.

But the only strategy we could use was the triple and third strategy!

I will be showing you how you could use this strategy in your maths!

These are some examples:

Lets start off with something easy like

24x3=? Well first you divide the biggest number by 3 (thats 24) Then you x the smallest number by 3 (thats 3) and that makes:

8x9=...72!

Here's another example:

36x5=? Well divide the biggest number by 3 (which is 36) Then x the smallest number by 3 (thats 5) and that makes:

12x15=...180!
